We implement Action 1 by using RPKI and ROA validation to ensure that only legitimate and authorized routes are accepted and propagated. This helps prevent route hijacking and improves the overall security and reliability of our network. Our filters are updated every 24 hours to maintain up-to-date validation.

About MANRS
MANRS is a global initiative supported by the Internet Society that brings network operators together to work on fixing the global routing system's most common security issues. As Akaere Internet Exchange Point, we are committed to implementing all MANRS IXP Actions:
- Participant Name
- Akaere Internet Exchange Point
- Location
- Germany (DE)

Our MANRS Implementation
We actively support our members in maintaining accurate routing information in IRR and RPKI repositories, helping to ensure a secure and reliable routing environment.
We are committed to helping our members adopt MANRS ISP Actions by providing comprehensive support and resources.
We publicly recognize and highlight members who participate in MANRS on our member list and website, encouraging others to follow best practices.
We use firewalls and strict filtering policies to ensure the security and integrity of our peering platform, protecting all members from unwanted or harmful traffic.
We provide mailing lists and a member directory to ensure effective communication and coordination among all network operators connected to our IXP.
We offer a standard looking glass tool for our members, enabling them to monitor and debug network routes easily.

Services & Features
Connect your network through BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) peering. We support both IPv4 and IPv6 address families with full routing table exchange capabilities.
- Multilateral peering via route servers
- Bilateral peering between members
- Full IPv4 and IPv6 support
- BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection) support
Public RPKI validation service for route origin verification. Our service is based on Routinator and provides real-time validation data.
- RTR server: rpki.akae.re:8282
- HTTP API for programmatic access
- RFC 8210 and RFC 6810 compliant
- Regular updates from global trust anchors
Our route servers facilitate multilateral peering, allowing members to exchange routes with multiple peers through a single BGP session.
