Technical Prerequisites

  • Valid ASN (Autonomous System Number) registered with a Regional Internet Registry
  • IPv4 and/or IPv6 address space allocation
  • BGP routing capability
  • 24/7 NOC contact information
  • PeeringDB entry (recommended)
What happens after I submit?
  1. Our NOC team will review your application within 2 business days
  2. We'll verify your ASN and technical information
  3. You'll receive connection details and technical specifications
  4. Schedule installation and configure BGP peering
  5. Complete testing and go live

There are no membership fees for joining Akaere IXP. Physical port costs may apply based on your selected bandwidth and connection type. Virtual connections (IXVM) are free of charge thanks to our sponsor AS204921.
